A simple PST to CST converter that does the math for you
Working out time differences in your head is easy until a meeting is close to midnight, or the clocks change. This PST to CST converter takes the guesswork out of it. Type in a Pacific time and it shows the Central time right away, including whether you've crossed into the next day.
You can use it online on any phone or computer, and think of it as a small converter generator too: the Copy result button gives you a clean line like 6:00 AM PST = 8:00 AM CST that you can drop straight into an email or calendar invite.
How to convert PST to CST
- Choose a date. The date matters because of daylight saving time.
- Enter the time in Pacific time. The Central time shows up underneath as you type.
- Need the reverse? Press the swap button to convert CST to PST instead.
- Copy the result if you want to share it.
If you'd rather do it by hand, the rule is short: Central time is 2 hours ahead of Pacific time, so add 2 hours going from PST to CST and subtract 2 going back.

Good to know about PST and CST
Daylight saving. Most of the year the Pacific zone is on PDT and the Central zone is on CDT, and people still say "PST" and "CST" out of habit. Both zones switch on the same dates, so the gap stays at two hours. This tool shows the correct label for the date you pick.
"CST" can mean more than one thing. Here it means North American Central Time. The same letters are also used for China Standard Time, which is a completely different zone, so double-check if a meeting invite doesn't say where it's from.
